Welcome to our website and thank you for your interest in joining.
Marine Riders of Las Vegas is about camaraderie and sharing a common bond with other motorcycle riders. That bond is the US Marine Corps.
The rules are simple... You have to be an active duty, reserve or veteran Marine or FMF Corpsman, served your country honorably and have a motorcycle.
Become one of us. Apply On-line.
Questions you may have:
Who is eligible to join? Any active duty, reserve or veteran Marine that served honorably and has a motorcycle.
Are any other Service Members Eligible? Yes, a select few. Any active duty, reserve or veteran Navy Corpsman that served or is serving with The Fleet Marine Forces (FMF). Any active duty or veteran of the British Royal Marines.
Can spouses or significant others join? No. They cannot be members unless they meet the criteria above. Spouses and significant others are highly encouraged to participate, but they cannot wear the 'Colors'. We have an Associate Member Program for spouses, significant others and friends who will wear an "I Support Marine Riders" back-patch and for all intents and purposes be members but without the right to vote or hold office.
What kind of motorcycles are allowed? Any motorcycle or tricycle. Any brand. Any type. Our rider's motorcycles represent the entire spectrum. Crotch Rockets, to Cruisers, to Full Dress. Rice Burners to American Iron.
Do I have to be a member of the Marine Corps League? No. We do, however, strongly encourage our members to be MCL members since we meet at their club and they support our activities as we support theirs. Most of our members are members of the MCL since we were founded there and support their goals.
Do I have to be a member of The Leatherneck Club? No. Members of the Marine Corps League are authorized to use the Leatherneck Club facilities. Your support keeps the doors open and overhead down. Your support helps the Club keep prices low and sponsor activities at No Charge to You.
What is a Charter? The Marine Riders of Las Vegas are recognized by The Secretary of State as a non-profit organization in the State of Nevada. As such, the Riders have been issued a Charter, much the same way, a 'for profit' company is recognized by the State when they incorporate.
What is a Charter Member? Charter Members were members of the organization when the Charter was filed with the State of Nevada, 30 Apr 02. They are permanently listed in the Charter as Charter Members. The cut-off time for joining as a Charter Member has passed.
What is a Founding Member? Founding Members were the original MCL members who organized, founded and elected the first board of officers of the Marine Riders in March of 02. They then began recruiting others prior to filing for a Charter with the State.
When can I attend a meeting or join? We meet the second Monday of the month at The Leatherneck Club, 1900. Ask any of the Officers about a membership application or fill-out the on-line application.
Are there dues or fees? Yes. Initiation is a one time Fee of $100 which includes our 'Colors' and the first year of Annual Dues. 'Colors' are available at our Monthly Meetings. Annual Dues are $25 and go into the General Fund. Dues and fees are the same for Associate members.
What events do you host or participate in? See the News & Events Section for upcoming events and the Past Runs Section for pictures and write-ups about events or happenings past. We are looking at sponsoring a signature event of our own.
